Boston Children’s Hospital earned approval from the Massachusetts Public Health Council on October 20, 2016, to begin work on our proposal for the transformation and evolution of our Longwood campus, including the Boston Children’s Clinical Building and the development of new outpatient facilities in Brookline.
Determination of Need is the state’s mandatory public regulatory program and approval process that healthcare facilities must adhere to when they propose substantial capital expenditures, as well as other significant actions that could impact the healthcare market.
